Introduction to Our New President, Steve Obey
As the new owner of The Electrode Store, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to carry on the business that has been successfully run by the Cooke family for many years.
I grew up in a small town in Minnesota, and I, along with my wife and 3 kids, am excited to be in a small-town, Pacific-Northwest environment on the outskirts of Seattle.
Early in my career I worked as an industrial engineer after earning my degree in that field. I later attained two masters’ degrees in business management and mechanical engineering from a top university. I went on to work for 9 years in financial, planning, and marketing management roles at Medtronic, a leading medical device company, and for 10 years at a small assembly/electronics manufacturing company in Texas where I served as General Manager, leading all functions at one time or another, including sales, marketing, R&D, manufacturing, and administration.
I am passionate about medical technology, new product innovation, and excellence in our customer service, products, and processes. I also value long-term, mutually beneficial business relationships involving honesty, integrity, respect and open communications. I hope that my interest in these areas translates into great products and experiences for you - our customers, suppliers, employees, and friends. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
